Electronic Waste Recycling Fee

Mwave.com is required by the state of California to collect an "Electronic Waste Recycling Fee" for CRT Monitors, LCD Monitors and Notebooks. The fee will be collected at the time of retail sale, including Internet and catalog sales, to California consumers.

How much is the fee? (*Updated January 2009)

The fee varies depending on the diagonal measurement of the device’s screen. It is… $8.00 when the screen is larger than 4 inches, but smaller than 15 inches $16.00 when the screen is at least 15 inches, but smaller than 35 inches $25.00 when the screen is 35 inches or larger

The fee is being assessed on products that will be a hazardous waste when disposed, and the fee will go toward offsetting the costs of proper management. For further information on the Recycling Act, please visit http://www.erecycle.org/
